Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean to be a dad

Former pop sensation A.J. McLean is going to be a father! The Backstreet Boys singer and his wife Rochelle Karidis, are expecting their first child.

The excited parents-to-be, both 34, made the announcement yesterday on YouTube. “I just wanted to say thank you guys for all your love and support . . . Because we love you all so much, we wanted to share with you — for the first time — something very special. We’re having a baby!”

Baby names inspired by TV families 

In 2010, A.J. proposed to Rochelle during a live concert in Las Vegas. They tied the knot in December 2011, at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

A.J. is an alcoholic and credits his wife for encouraging his sobriety. “You are my whole world and I cannot wait to spend my life with you,” he tweeted to her last year. “Without you here, I am lost!”
