Beyonce Birth causes controversey

It is the birth that was heard 'round the world. Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z Carter are parents! The baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter was born Saturday night at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Security was tight at the New York hospital for the celebrities.  Beyonce and Jay-Z allegedly paid Lenox Hill $1.3 million dollars to rent out and redecorate the 4th floor of the hospital. The Washington Post reported that the hospital "placed tape on its security cameras and asked employees to turn off their cell phones in order to protect the couple's privacy".

There were some problems caused by the superstar couple and their new baby. Some parents allegedly had difficulty getting to see their babies in the NICU. Neil Coulon, 38, of Brooklyn said that Beyonce's bodyguards repeatedly barred him from the 6th floor NICU. The New York Daily News reports that Coulon's family was cleared out of a waiting room, treating the hospital like an 'exclusive nightclub'. Coulon explains,"Three times they stopped me from entering or exiting the NICU and it happened once on Friday just because they wanted to use the hallway".

Despite the problems that may have occurred when Beyonce checked in for her scheduled c-section, this birth has been celebrated through Hollywood.  Beyonce caused a little confusion when she tweeted, "Welcome to the world Ivy Blue" only to be followed up with "Blue Ivy Carter for those asking. A whole world awaits you :)". Seems the celebrity couple faced a bit of naming troubles like many new parents do!

E! News was the first to report the baby girl's name officially and then was confirmed via Twitter by celeb pal, Gwyneth Paltrow. Paltrow posted early Sunday morning, 'Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already!". Other close friends of the pop star pair also tweeted their congratulations. Rihanna tweeted, "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Ri", and Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles tweeted, "The most beautiful girl in the world."
