According to USMagazine.com, the 38-year-old actress and her fiance, musician Martyn Lenoble, 41, are expecting their first child.

The couple has been dating for a few years and got engaged on Valentine's Day. The wedding date has not been revealed.

Applegate overcame a difficult battle against breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2008, underwent a double mastectomy, and had reconstructive surgery. Last year she told US she was ready for "babies, lots of babies. Not lots of babies, but a couple."
