Bones star David Boreanaz and wife Jaime Bergman are the proud parents of a baby girl. Daughter Bardot Vita Boreanaz weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz. on August 31, 2009. Bardot has 7-year-old brother, Jaden Rayne.

"We've been trying to have another baby for a couple of years now so we are beyond excited," Bergman, who had been on bed-rest, told People magazine’s Celebrity Baby Blog. "We're over the moon.”

The baby’s name, Bardot, may be a feminine variant of the boy name Bardo, which means “Son of the earth.” Or perhaps the unique name pays tribute to Brigitte Bardot, the controversial actress and activist. Middle name Vita is a feminine form of Vito, meaning “Vital.”
