John and his partner, David Furnish, toured the orphanage on behalf of his Elton John AIDS Foundation. Many of the children became orphans when their parents die from AIDS. Furnish has always wanted to adopt, but John always resisted “because I am 62 and because of the traveling I do.” John changed his mind after meeting little Lev, a Ukranian toddler. “I would love to adopt him…he has stolen my heart.” The name Lev is a boy name of Hebrew origin. The meaning of Lev is “United.” The name Lev reminds us of Levon, the title of one of John’s all-time greatest hits. Perhaps it’s a sign! What do you think… Is Elton John too old to adopt?
