Fantasia Barrino has a Baby Boy

Fantasia Barrino is well known for her powerful pipes.  On Tuesday, December 13, she added a new line to her list of credits, Mom to a baby boy. Dallas Zavier weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz and was 21 inches long at birth.

The nation fell in love with Fantasia Barrino, her voice, sassy attitude and style on American Idol in 2004.  The single Mom to daughter, Zion, proved herself in the 3rd Season of American Idol when she took home the title.

In the years since, Barrino has had an often rocky road.  In August 2010, Fantasia was found by her manager after an apparent suicide attempt.  She told Good Morning America, "I think I was just overloaded with everything, with carrying six years of so much," the 26-year-old Barrino said. "I always take a licking and keep on ticking...it just became heavy for me to the point that I just wanted to be away from the noise."

Seeming to have bounced back from that tumultuous time, one year later she announced her pregnancy at a charity performance. Rumors swirl that her newest bundle of joy is the result of a relationship Barrino had with a married man, Antwaun Cook.  When asked about this on The Wendy William's Show, Fantasia replied, "I’m not gonna talk about that.”

I am sure 27 year old Fantasia will have a very Merry Christmas with Dallas and Zion this year.  She is going to have lots of help with a 10 year old daughter to love and dote on her new baby brother.
