It's a boy for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck!

It's a boy for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck! Their family grew by one on February 27 when their baby boy named Samuel Garner Affleck arrived.

Yesterday Ben announced on his Facebook page the good news. "We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck."

In August 2011, the actress announced her pregnancy. Jennifer, 39, stayed pretty quiet about the gender of the baby. She admitted she'd be thrilled to have a third girl and said Affleck was excited either way.

Ben and Jennifer were married in 2005 and have two beautiful girls, Violet, 6 and Seraphina, 3.

In January, Jennifer joked with Jay Leno about baby names saying, the girls were suggesting many names - most of which happen to be Disney-themed. "[They suggested] Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck," Garner joked. "And then they moved on...[to] Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee."

Baby name trends for 2012

Looks like they opted to go a more traditional route using her maiden name as the baby's middle name. I think it has such a nice ring to it.

We are still waiting to hear how big this sweet boy was, but Jen and Ben can take their time. It's a big jump going from two to three children, and they are sure to have their hands, and home, very full.
