James Van Der Beek reveals son's name

We recently reported that James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly announced the arrival of their second child – a baby boy. But the little fellow was two weeks old before his mom and dad revealed his name...

The actor’s rep finally confirmed to Us Weekly that the youngest Van Der Beek has been named Joshua. Joshua joins 18-month-old big sis Olivia.

After Olivia arrived but before Joshua was born, James admitted to Us Weekly that fatherhood was full of surprises.

"You know what surprised me the most? I was prepared for it to be a lot of work, but if anybody would've told me how much fun it would be, I would not have believed them," he said.

"People always say, 'It's the best thing you'll ever do,' but I always thought they meant 10 or 20 years down the road when you'd be like, 'I'm glad I had a kid,’” James, 35, explained. “But moment to moment, it's really the most fun I've ever had."

James and Kimberly, 30, wed in August 2010. You can catch the former Dawson’s Creek actor on his new show, Don’t Trust the B---- in Apt. 23, which premieres April 11 on ABC.
