Parents Janet Johnson and Michael Brown were told to prepare for a big baby because Janet, 39, suffered from gestational diabetes. They were not, however, expecting a baby quite this big. JaMichael was delivered via C-section. In February, Bostonian Amanda Byron became an instant celebrity mom when she naturally delivered a 13-pound baby after four hours of labor. A 19-pound child broke national records in Indonesia in 2009, an in 2005, a 17-pound “giant baby” was born in Brazil to a diabetic mother. But the biggest baby ever recorded, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, was born in Ohio in 1979 and weighed 23 pounds, 12 ounces.
