Adam Dell is father of Padma Lakshmi's daughter, Krishna Thea

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi gave birth to daughter, Krishna Thea, just four weeks ago. At the time of the birth, the identity of the baby's father was not made public.

Now The New York Daily News reports that Krishna Thea's father is venture capitalist Adam Dell. Lakshmi and Dell has a brief off-and-on relationship last year. "There already a very fair agreement in place," a source told Daily News. "[Padma] doesn't want anything from [Dell}.

While paternity is not something Lakshmi is willing to discuss, the new mom is eager to share updates on her baby girl.

"She's very independent and very funny," Lakshmi bragged to People magazine. "She's a good communicator and is very witty already."

Lakshmi is basking in the joys of new motherhood before she returns to her hosting duties on Top Chef.

"Right now I'm not working, [but] when I go back to work I'll have her with me," Lakshmi said. "[I'm] totally centered on my nursing schedule."
