2012 Top Baby Names

When looking for a name for their baby, many parents look to what the top names of the last year were.  We like to look forward though at the top projected baby names for 2012.

Some parents like to name their babies with trendy names, some parents prefer to stay as far away from trendy baby names as possible.  Maybe you prefer a name that can be made into a nickname, or something a little more classic.  Regardless what kind of names you prefer, this list has it all.

What were the top baby names of 2011?

One of the biggest surprises is that Asher has taken over as the new Number 1 baby name for boys.  Last year the number 1 spot for baby boy names was take by Finn.  Charlotte continues to be the top girls' name, although Unisex Number 1 Harper is currently being used mostly for girls.  Perhaps this is a direct result of the newest Harper to make headlines, Harper Beckham. New entries to the girls' Top 10 are Scarlett and Lila, and to the boys', the fashionable classic James.
