First Week of Baby Names; 2012

As the first week of the new year comes to a close, we are ready to look forward in baby naming trends.  The top baby names of 2012 so far may surprise you.

Every year NameCandy.com releases the top names of the beginning of the year. This year the trend toward unconventional seems to be on the rise. With names like Mathea, Eviana and Tucker and only a few more traditional names like Michael, Sophia, Jackson and Lucas.

Popular initials seem to be A - Aubrey, Aidan, Austin, and Adelyn with 'K' not too far behind - Karis, Khloe, Kay'lyn, and Kyren. Although some parents, like the ones in West Virginia, just couldn't decide. They announced their baby as being either Aidan or Jaidan!
