Alexander Technique is a body/mind method teaching body awareness and posture. This can come in handy as you get bigger and in the delivery room.

In this teaching method, the teacher, using his hands, gives you sensory experiences, teaching your body in an almomst unconscious way to change its stance and breath.

The method is regarded to be both physical and mental. In sessions you break wrong habbits that your body has adapted. This is done through exercise and training, as well as psychological and kinesioloical work. One of the premises is that the body stores memories in a physical way. This can affect your health, your posture and mental health. By doing these exercises, you can realease these memories and fixations.

This technique has recieved massive popularity in England and can compliment your Lamaze classes. It will teach you how to stand as not to hurt your back or pelvis and how to breath right during your pregnancy and labor.
