The fascinating characters of the newspaper's daily comics keep us coming back every day. Some of our favorites -- Charlie Brown, for example -- have been around for decades!

The Archies comic strip featured a garage band of fictional
characters whose bubblegum pop music was recorded by real-life musicians.
Archie Andrews – the red-haired front man who handled the
lead vocals and lead guitar for his self-titled garage band

Dick Tracy
Dick Tracy is a brilliant, hard-hitting police detective
created by Chester Gould in 1931. The comic strips memorable villains include
Breathless Mahoney, Flattop Jones and Pruneface.

served as a lieutenant in US Navy Intelligence during WWII
