baby and mom

There is no denying the popularity of Twilight! This year, Isabella (Bella Swan) and Jacob (Jacob Black) took the number one spots for top baby names of 2009. For baby girls, Isabella took the top spot from Emma, who has moved  down to #2. Emily has moved farther down the list from #3 last year  to #6 this year. Mia has moved up from #14 and rounds out the top 10 list.

For the boys, Jacob keeps the #1 spot, while Ethan, who was at the #3 spot last year, moved up to #2. With Joshua and Anthony both making it into the top 10 this year, it looks like traditional baby names are making a big comeback.
