The Social Security Administration just released their much-anticipated top 100 baby boy names of 2011. There were some expected results, as Jacob remained as the most popular boy name of the year; however a new name has entered the top 5. The baby boy names that are climbing the list the fastest are Brantley followed by Iker. Perhaps the country singer Brantley Gilbert, who sings the hit song “Country Must Be Country Wide” inspired parents to pick this unique name. Iker has a modern and exotic sound to it and could have been inspired by Iker Casillas Fernandez, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid and Spanish National Team. Long baby boy names, such as Maximiliano, Remington, Jameson and Finnegan are also climbing the charts.
