Baby names in the gorgeous southern state of Alabama in 2010 were similar to the rest of the US but a few trends stuck out, with many Alabama parents opting for traditional or classic names. What made the top 50 in Alabama? Read on to find out.
The next three boy names on the list are James, John and Jacob. All very strong, traditional male names. Fifth on the Alabama list is Jayden, which is a trendier baby name, as is the sixth most popular Alabama name -- Jackson. Other trendy names appearing on the list are Brayden, Aiden and Jordan. Following Emma are Isabella, Madison, Ava and Olivia. These are all very pretty, feminine baby names that are both trendy and traditional. Makalya and Khloe are some of the more unique popular names in Alabama, as are Brooklyn and Kaylee. These all make use of different spellings which is a trend in and of itself. There are plenty of classic entries on the girl's list, however -- Elizabeth is a perennial visitor on all baby name lists and is #12 nationwide. Sarah, Emily and Abigail are all top picks, also. Interestingly, there is at least one Alabama child named Crimson Tide, after the University of Alabama's football team, and likely many more with the first name
