Country music has evolved over generations in the US and around the world, becoming one of the most popular genres of music available today. • Garth Brooks, one of country music’s all time best selling performers, now married to Trisha Yearwood, has three kids with ex-wife Sandy. Their names are Taylor Mayne Pearl Brooks, August Anna Brooks, and Allie Colleen Brooks.

• Alan Jackson, who released a gospel album in addition to his country hits, also has three girls named Mattie, Ali, and Dani.

• Tim McGraw has released a new book, co-written with Tom Douglas, “My Little Girl,” that talks about the important spending time with your kids, he has three daughters with wife Faith Hill (pictured), named Audrey, Gracie, and Maggie.

• Former rocker Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, is dad to two girls and has been quoted as saying he enjoys the story telling aspect of country music and of being a father.

• Reba McEntire, called the “The Queen of Country” by some, named her son Shelby Steven.

• Shania Twain named her son Eja (pronounced “Asia”) and kept her traditional Ojibwa name.

• American Idol star Bo Bice and mom Caroline Fisher, named their son Caleb in 2008.

• Kellie Coffey, who has written songs about her struggle to get pregnant, named her son Jackson Geoffrey Kock in 2005, with husband Geoff.

• Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are always in the spotlight, and now they have another member of their family getting the attention with the arrival of their daughter Sunday Rose.  Kidman also has two adoptive children with ex Tom Cruise, Connor and Isabella.

• Country music star Trace Adkins has five daughters – Mackenzie, Brianna, and Trinity with wife Rhonda, and two older daughters named Tarah and Sarah.

• Gretchen Wilson has been called a “redneck woman” but when it came time to name her daughter, this single mom choose the name Grace.

• One of the most talked about baby names in 2007, country star Brad Paisley and wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley, named their son Huckleberry.

• Barbara Mandrell has managed to juggle a music career spanning 30+ years, 75 awards, and at TV career along with raising three kids – Nathan, Jaime, and Matthew.

• Alison Krauss, whose first album came out at the age of 16, has one son named Sam.

• Along with being a singer/songwriter Billy Ray Cyrus stars in the hit show “Hannah Montana” with daughter Miley, son Braison, and daughter Noah.
