My name is Charlene and I absolutely hate it. I thought maybe one day it would grow on me but I am now 29 yrs. old and still hate it. Maybe when I am 90, I will enjoy it. It is an old name and not very pretty at all. My family calls me Char, which I really can't stand either but you just can't make the name pretty or anything I will ever like! Don't name your kid this. By the way it also means "little womanly one".

My name is Charlene and I absolutely love it. Everyone who talks to me loves it as well. I think it is beautiful and defiantly sounds it when spoken allowed. I wish it was tradition to name your child after yourself I would in a heartbeat.
