I never use to like my name because people always confused it with veronica and teased me about Hanukkah, but I love it now because it is not as common. I do have alot of nicknames (Mo, Moni, Mon) and I love that! It is of spanish and english decent, but I get mine from my English side. The spanish version means "advisor" which I think suits me better!

I too like my name although ive just recently adjusted to it (I literally woke up yesterday and it finally seemed to fit LOL) uh anyway I think its beautiful and agree that its a good rare name with many nicknames but I must admit im not a fan of the dumb jokes and I don't like the nickname "Mon" because it sounds like they're calling me a jamaiican man like "yo Mon" (but maybe I'm just weird to think of it that way its always sort of bothered me tho lol).

Monica is a great name i love it its unique and although my brothers use to call me harmonica its great. Espesially because when i was in school, if i heard someone calling "monica" i knew they were calling me. People love my name and my husband said my name is what caught his eye first about me. My friends call me moni, mons and mon, but i love monica
