The Unique Name
written by Jennifer, September 12, 2008
In June 1995 my husband and I couldn't agree on a baby name for a girl and since I thought I was carrying a girl I bugged him to figure it out. He pulled a red delicious apple out to eat and said "how about apple!" Although he was joking, I pictured a little girl with blue eyes and decided that I like it, and we chose to spell it with 1 "p". When Aple was 2 years old I met a couple who were from Toronto... they loved her name so much that they named their baby a few years later Apple. I don't know if others have passed that on and I don't know of anyone else who has that name, but I am truly proud to have a beautiful daughter named Aple(apple) who is now 13 years old!
Don't name your kids joke names

When little Apple grows up, her classmates aren't going to care that her parents are big stars. They're going to make fun of her name anyway. Kids are going to be mean to each other no matter what; why give them another reason? I'd rather give them a boring name like Ashley Anne and let them change it later if they want to be "different".
