Beautiful name
written by Julia, September 23, 2007
We have a daughter called Cameron-Tia and it is beautiful as it is very original for a girl. Obviously it has become more popular due to actress Cameron Diaz. We can receive mixed reactions for her name, but it suits her and it makes her her own little person.
The name Cameron does come from portuguese background and made its way to becoming a scotish surname before been used as a first name. It is now a universal name due to its popularity.
Cameron means Godly?!

I love the name Cameron and expecially if it does indeed have this alternative meaning. It really is a beautiful name for a boy or a girl. The problem in my house would be that there would then be two "Cams." Oh'well.
Glad to know another meaning

Cameron for a girl
written by CamiMP, January 21, 2008
My name is Cameron Michelle, but I've always gone by Cami until I started my professional job. I love it! I read somewhere that 92% of Camerons are male, but there are still 8% female Camerons! I sometimes wish my name was spelled Camryn to make it more feminine, but overall I LOVE MY NAME AND ITS UNIQUENESS :)
Grandson

Cameron is a perfect name for my grandson who is strong smart loving and beautiful. He is our heart. Cameron does not have to mean crooked nose.
Camryn is a beautiful/self confident girl name.
written by Kelly/ Camryns mom, February 25, 2008
My husband and I thought of Camryn for our daughter when I was pregnant. It so fits her. My husband likes Cameron Diaz. I chose the different spelling to make it a little more feminine. Although my husband says you cant get much more feminine than Cameron Diaz. Our Camryn nicknamed Cam or Cammy is strong, beautiful and very intelligent. I love the name for a girl. Her full name is Camryn Christine.
