morgan can be both a girl and boys name but....im a girl not a boy!!

My name is Morgan and I am also of the Morgans.. My mothers maiden name is Morgan.. I love my name cause it fits me well being that I'm a Pisces which is a water sign.. I was also born in the morning.. and I love how my name morgan lee gravley sounds alot like morgan le fey.. That and morgan actually is a a christian name which translates to the morning star which translates to adam... there was the morning star and the evening star.. adam and eve.. this is why its a boys name.. also I just wanted to say to my family oh family.. It is said that if u have the name morgan then u are more than likely related to the morgans.. especially if u have a lee or ann or leeann.. My sisters middle name is ann just as my mothers is.. its funny cause they are both cancers born on the same day.. Those who are born under the morgan influence are both cursed and blessed.. The morgan family has a long crazy history they were involved with the Rosicrucian's and nights of the temple.. its a royal name which is actually a descendant of jesus same blood line.. and has ties to the arthurian legends????? whence the morgan le fey was arthurs half sister.. morgan the fairy.. I could be wrong on some things but then again at least its a fun name..

I love the name Morgan for a boy, I find it too strong for a girls name. But I am getting discouraged, because it seems like it is more used today as a girls name than a boys name, and if I have a boy I would be afraid he would be made fun of.

I love my last name and wanted to name my son Morgan, but it didn't go with the last name. I was always told Morgan meant dweller of the sea. My full name means lady warrior dweller of the sea. I am a woman and in the Navy! I was also raised Rosicrucian. ;-)

I have always considered Morgan more of a masculine name (maybe because I love Morgan Freeman?). I have a Welsh background and in that instance it is used for boys. I have noticed lately that a lot of girls are being named Morgan, but if I have a boy, that will be his name.

Morgan is both a boys and girls name so stating that it is a boys name is not correct at all. There are many spelling as well as names that are extremely similar. I was named after Morgan Le Fay, King Arthur's half sister and my name is Morgan Faye. I have always liked it and never felt it was manly its pretty gender neutral.

I've got a weakness for Celtic mythology, so I knew this would one day be my daughter's name. She's named for King Arthur's sister, but my favorite version of her character is from "The Mists of Avalon". My husband wasn't going for that spelling, though, so we stuck with this more common spelling. She loves her name, and, coincidentally, we do live by the sea, lol.

My name is Leah Morgan... Morgan being my second name... I love both of my names and sometimes when meeting new people i say my name is Morgan and sometimes my name is Leah lol... Im so glad i have been give my name... going to name my unborn daughter either Ashleah or Morgan... so cute....
