i swear the name became popular real quick. i had never heard of anyone with this name or seen it in a book or on the internet unless it was something for star trek or rikers island but both of those are spelled with an i instead of a y. i used the y because i did not want people to call him ricky. my son was born in 2002.

My sister had her son the begining of Dec. They named him Ryker. I absolutely love this name. The meaning fits him very well. From day one he has had fairly good control of his neck for a newborn.
