Why would such a beautiful name have such a terrible meaning? I think whoever comes up with these meanings is off their rocker. It should mean something like honest, or light hearted, maybe pure of heart.

Yes yes but if you look up the prefix mal in spanish that means bad so I can see where they get the meaning
