My Great Grandmother's name was Marie so in honour of her my middle name is Marie. It's a beautiful name for a beautiful daughter or granddaughter.

Marie is an old family name, and has been passed around quite a bit! My aunt's name is Janet Marie, mine is Rachael Marie, my daughter's is Paige Marie, my cousin's is Machelle Marie, and Machelle's daughter is Olivia Marie. I love this name -- it makes a beautiful middle name!

I come from a french family, and while Marie is usually employed as a mddle name, i was given a compound first name of Marie-Charlotte. And while i didn't appreciate it at first, I really do love it as it is more unusual than simply Marie or Charlotte
