A sublimely beautiful name for a girl and a woman.
I'm content with my name
written by Beatrice-Nadine, November 01, 2007
When I was younger I didn't really think so much about my name. But now as an adolescent I think that Beatrice is a pretty name, not only fitting for a child but also for a woman. Growing up in Germany my nickname used to be Bea (Bay-uh), and that's just how everybody calls me.
Famous represantatives of the name? I dunno. There aren't many. The daughter of Paul McCartny is called Beatrice and the dutch Queen is called Beatrix, so it's similar. And whenever I have been to the Netherlands the dutch people reffered to their monarch.

I forgot to mention, that just a couple of days ago, someone told me, he found that my name was sexy...
Long story short, if you're thinking of calling your daugher Beatrice it surely is a good decision, for it being a gorgeous name that a girl and woman does love to spend the rest of her life with.

I absolutely love my name, I'm named after my aunt, my great-aunt, my great-great aunt, and so on, all of whom are very beautiful woman. All of the first girls were named Beatrice. I can only hope that one of my brothers or my sisters will name one of their children after me to carry on the tradition.

I just wanted to comment on Beatrice: I love the idea of that tradition. I think it is a very kind way of honoring relatives.

My name is beatrice also, but everybody i know calls me Bea. Pronounced like bee. I used to think my name was weird, but now i think of it as more unique, and I will tell you that i have never met anyone with my name younger than 70 which is great.

I love the name and the meaning itself. My mother's named beatrice and she is everything that it means. People call her BB and Ms. Bea, but she truly is the bearer of happiness.
