Don't Just Search - Find The Perfect Name!
My mother was told I would be her only child (she had 5 others--so the Dr was wrong!) and my father insisted I be named for her: Kathleen.
My mother hated 'juniors', so she took the 1st 4 letters of her first name and added the first letter of her maiden name: English. She then added an accent over the 'e' to give it the pronunciation she wanted. Dad happy, Mom happy.
I've always had my name mispronounced: Kathy, Kate, Cafe, Cathay, Kaffee--but I correct them and people rarely have trouble with it after.
I like my name and have always been the only Kathe anyone knows--so it has always been memorable. In my school days, I stood out from all the Debbies, Lindas, Brendas etc....(which gives my age away)
