I have to comment on this name. I have had it all my life, which is approx 57 years. I have grown to LOVE it...Strenghth in battle both french and german origins? interesting, but none the less, I feel it is a beautiful name and it fits me, I am strong spiritually, all 105 lbs.....

We named our now two year old daughter Mattingly after Don Mattingly (the baseball player) and she goes by Mattie. It worked out well that she has a German nicname with German her last name.
