When I went to school they had me as Janice however in my teens I saw Janis and told my mother I wished to change my spelling and she laughed and said "I knew you would want to do that someday and you are a Janis" I guess mother knew teens are going to want change in their lives. I like this spelling, it seems softer to the eyes.
