its so funny because my name is leah *spelled* LEIGH which sucks! 6 out of 10 people say my name the right way but to others i'm leigh young! as a kid i always wanted to change the spelling to LIYA! but i grew to love it.

Well, a variation of this. Aellea, pronounced uh-lee-uh. Tell me what you think please! I love this name, I think it is beautiful. But my husband says it stupid..

Our number 2 daughter is Leah. The only other time I'd heard the name was my mother's aunt and I thought it unusual and very pretty. Leah was one of a kind for years and not too happy when she saw the name becoming more popular.She was 11 before her name showed up on personalized stuff in the stores. She is 34 now and there are lots more Leahs around. Her middle name is Kathleen after my mother.

The only meaning I have ever seen for Leah is "the weary" and that suits our Leah, she loves to sleep.

I know someone named Leah. She is a great role model. She's caring, loving, funny, meticulous, and outgoing. She's the kind of person you want to be around when you are having a bad day. She makes the day do a complete 360. There's always one or two extrodinary people that come into your life, change it for the better, and change you; make you a better person, or at least make you want to become a better person, and the Leah I know is one of those extradinary people. I like Leah Rose, Leah Garland, or Leah Corinne as fist and middle names. Leah Kate sounds pretty too.

At the time I had my second daughter, my oldest daughter was 16. I wanted there to be a special bond between the two, even though there was so many years between them. I made my oldest daughter,along with my husband, one of my birthing coaches, so she could witness her little sister come into the world. I also named my baby girl after her. My oldest daughter's name is Taylor Leigh (pronunced Lee), and my baby girl was name Leah Shea. I feel that both of my girls have very strong and beautiful names.
