You are not the only Rachel Ann! The funny thing is my name is Rachel Ann Ragsdale and i grew up when Raggety Ann & Andy were popular, so my nickname was Raggety Ann:)~

My name is Rachel Ann!!!.....growing up my Daddy always explained why he chose that name, Rachel. I am the first of 5 children. In the Bible, Jacob ultimately waited 14 years for Rachel because he loved her that much....I've always loved my name! Today, I'm a Living Historian, and for the added romantic touch, go by Rachel Anne...we aren't common, we have the name of a woman that was loved so much by a man.....he sacrificed EVERYTHING!!!!...

My name is Rachel Ava and I love it, I didn't like it at school because there were 2 other Rachel's in my class and people always spelt it Rachael. But I love it now and it is a bit more unusual these days (I'm 32!). Don't like the nickname 'Raych' though which I always get called.

My sister has this name and she says its to common but my mother named her this because she loves the hebrew pronunciation of it. But I would have to say spelling it Rachel instead of Rachael does make it more unique.

My first and middle names are Rachel Loraine. I used to hate it as a child, I suppose because Rachel wasn't as old-fashioned as names like Abigail. A few people called me Rae-Rae, but not many. And I hated the name "Raych". Only a select handful of people call me that. For some reason, every one thinks I spell it differently than the traditional "Rachel", but I don't! Maybe because everyone wants to be unique by having different spellings, and others just assume it's that way. Now I love the name Rachel. And Loraine, which is where some of my ancestors are from in France.

I guess I like my name, its gotten me some pretty wierd nicknames, and most of my friends couldn/t spell it for awhile and somehow everyone thinks it spelt Rachael(!) I always did hate that most websites and books listed the meaning as "ewe" onstead of "little lamb"
