Amalia is my middle name. I was named that after my father's favorite name. A woman I never met, don't even know what she looked like. Still I got stuck with her name, even if only a middle name. I don't mind it now but as a child I was teased for it and now that I read about names, I see how it really does not flow with my first name and last name. Too many freaking vowels. Middle name ending in a and with a last name that starts with an A. What I know now as an adult shows me my mom did not put much thought into it. LOL I am so glad to see sites like these now. At least the child born now will know the names given to him/her were thought of carefully. Cheers to the moms here who give a lot of care in picking a nice name.
Beautiful Name

Yep my name is Amelia. It is an old name. When people here it they always say "That is a beautiful name, my great grandmothers name was Amelia" or something along those lines. When I was young no one ever teased me but adults LOVED to call me Miss.Amelia, even when I was like 5. I never understood that. But most people like my name. My neighbor even named her daughter that because she liked my name so much.
