to so frustrated- you could name your baby Lucca-(something) if you really love the name. that way you break up the double "L" that you dont like. for example "Lucca-jay Layyer or "Lucca-Blue Lawyer". then he can be L.J or L.B or L.whatever for short. Just thought maybe i could help. Good Luck!

I a 6 year old son named Lucca Romeo Gabriel Hendricks. I am blessed with a large multi-cultural family. So after naming our first 2 children Deborah Lynn, and Kenneth Scott I wanted something that reflected my side of the family. Lucca is a wonderful beautiful place filled with kindness and so is my son. Most people understand the reference and understand it is a city and that his name is an ode to italy by the time I say his name. You do not have to restrict yourself to naming your child after important people, you should feel free to name your child after anything important to you or your spouse. My next child will be named Lilly because I love the outside and my garden!!
Beautiful name.

My 6 yr old son is named Lucca, his second and third names are Richard-Joseph, he has an Italian heritage on his fathers side.
We originally chose the name "Luca", but did some research to find this name actually originated in Greece. (So is claimed and may be debatable)
There is a place called Lucca in italy so we added the extra C.
He always gets comments on his name, everyone we meet loves it!
