| About Myself: | I am a 55 years old father-to-be. I live in Venezuela and have traveled extensively and lived in different countries. My native language is Spanish. From a previous marriage I have a daughter, Lira, and a son, Alvin. Everybody gets impressed by my children names. My new wife is very young and both of us are very enthusiastic about choosing a unique name for our baby girl whom is due in early November. Here in Venezuela there is a tendency to create new names for babies, sometimes mixing letters from both parents. Although most of the time those names are pretty and original, sometimes they sound awkward. Anyhow, In my opinion, humanity should become more creative in regards to child names and stop repeating names based on family ties, religion or cultural restrains. I find this site very interesting and useful. |
