How do you pronounce this name? Danny or Dag-nee? I'm reading Atlas Shrugged (SO GOOD) and it's the name of a main character, but I can't decide on how to say it. I've been using the second one, the way it looks, but I keep feeling like it should be the first one because of other names similar to it (Signe, for example, pronounced See-nah).

Dag-nee. There's a Youtuber with a son named Dagny and she pronounces it like that.

A son? Huh, it's a girl's name...

I know! She spell's it Dagney but I just looked it up and still a girl name.

I'd think of it as dag-nee, I was seeing it as a boys name though. Unless there's anything to suggest the proper pronunciation I just assume it's as it looks.
