need girls names
By Nikki_Cool 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
well i am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my 7th child and third girl and we are having problems deciding. well pretty much having 3 hormonal sons in the house as well as having one child start school for the first time last semester and a 3 year old we havent really had a whole lot of time to sit down and pick names. so we are after any suggestions and opinions you could offer.

we have 16 year old oliver
12 year old twins felix and forrester
8 year old max
5.5 year old maddie (madeline)
and 3 year old lydia

so far we like
Mackenna/Mckenna
Brinnley/Brinley
Kennedy
Addison
Catrin
Asher
Skyler
Santana
Britney/Brittney
Dakota
Sage (husband likes im not sure of it as a name let alone a girls name)
Kyah
Stacey
Zoey
Tobin (another one of my husbands suggestions)
Megan/Meagan
Cassie (husband would rather it be straight cassie or another name that you can use cassie as a nn as he dislikes cassandra)

We are open to any suggestions as you can see we have various older names as well as more unique and unusual names. we have no clue about middle names or first names so any suggestions would be delightful.

I'll start with opinions on what you already have and go from there with suggestions and such.

Mackenna/Mckenna- Love this name, prefer the spelling Makenna, though. It's a favorite of mine on my own list.
Brinnley/Brinley- Love Brinley. It's also on my list.
Kennedy- Prefer this name for a boy.
Addison- Nice, but not my style.
Catrin- Is this supposed to be Catrin or is it a misspelling of Cathrin? Either way it's not bad, I just wanted to be sure.
Asher- This was the name we were considering if our newborn had turned out to be a boy. I love it, but as a boy's name. Maybe you could use Ashera, Ashley/Ashlee/Ashleigh, Ashlynn, or Ashtyn instead?
Skyler- I like this, but prefer spelling Skylar for a girl.
Santana- Very "Glee" right now. Not a bad name, but nms.
Britney/Brittney- Kinda dated, nms.
Dakota- Prefer this on a boy. I don't mind the spelling Dakotah for a girl, though.
Sage- I love this, but spelled Saige.
Kyah- My three-year-old's name is Kaia (I'm assuming it's pronounced the same as you're looking for here, Kye-uh. If you were thinking of it pronounced more like Kee-uh I'd spell it Kia.), so of course I love this, but obviously prefer a different spelling.
Stacey- Also very dated and nms.
Zoey- Love this.
Tobin- I see this as more of a boy's name.
Megan/Meagan- My name is Meghan. I prefer the spelling Meaghan, though. Honestly, I hate my name and I've always hated my name. It's too common for me and it doesn't matter what spelling you choose, 9 times out of 10 people will spell it wrong.
Cassie- Cassiopeia is the only name besides Cassandra that I can think of off the top of my head that can be shortened to Cassie. I like just straight Cassie, though, too.

Some ideas for possible combos:
Makenna Aislyn
Makenna Brooke
Makenna Irelyn
Makenna Paisley
Makenna Zoey
Makenna Ashlynn
Brinley Ashera
Brinley Caelyn
Brinley Kait
Brinley Saige
Brinley Addison
Addison Jaide
Addison Brielle
Addison Brooke
Addison Dakotah
Skylar Brielle
Skylar Marie
Skylar Addison
Skylar Brooke
Skylar Kennedy
Santana Brittany
Santana Kaitlyn
Santana Skye
Santana Brie
Saige Ruby
Saige Cathrine
Saige Dakotah
Saige Makenna
Saige Ashley
Kaia Avalon
Kaia Aislyn
Kaia Charlotte
Kaia Brielle
Kaia Zoey
Kaia Ruby
Kaia Saige
Kaia Noelle
Kaia Stacy
Kaia Addison
Kaia Brinley
Zoey Charlotte
Zoey Paige
Zoey Addison
Zoey Brooke
Zoey Claire
Zoey Makenna
Zoey Meaghan
Zoey Catalina

thanks for your reply, yes i agree some of the names are more boys ones but my husband assures me they would fit a little girl so im trying to keep an open mind. Catrin is spelled correctly its said as cat-trin and with kyah its said as kye-uh. and with santana we are very worried because of glee that it would be very popular but we were hoping to try find a way to use this name in honour of a family friend who sadly passed away.

i love your suggestion of brinley saige and the alternative spelling makes it like more feminine i think and my husband loves your suggestion of santana skye (we both feel this would be a perfect name to honour our friend) but still cannot decide atm those names seem to fit very well but we are still open to more suggestions as we are runnning out of time, hopefully she stays in there until the full 40 weeks because at this stage we are gonna need it.

Mackenna/Mckenna-okay
Brinnley/Brinley-all right
Kennedy-like for a boy
Addison-ideally would like this on a boy, but so many girls are named this now; I do like the name
Catrin-fine
Asher-totally boy to me
Skyler-all right
Santana-okay
Britney/Brittney-all right
Dakota-prefer on a boy
Sage-like
Kyah-nice
Stacey-I actually like this a lot
Zoey-love as Zoe
Tobin-this also seems totally boy to me; nms, though
Megan/Meagan-fine; I prefer the sp Megan
Cassie-I like this as its own name

Meaghan always has great suggestions. Brinley Saige is nice, except one thing for me: I don't like the initials of BS.

Well, let us know if you need any more opinions or help or whatever. Best wishes on cooking that baby long enough and Happy Naming!

well if we went with brinley her initials would be BSC brinley saige cool atm we have not been able to come up with any other suggestions better than brinley saige and santana skye, but in saying that hubbie has gone overseas for a bit over a week with work so i guess for now its up to the kids, you guys and me to come up with other suggestions and hopefully she decides to wait until we have picked a name before she blesses us with her arrival.
