I don't think it should be an issue. I have a cousin with the same name as me, but I wasn't named after her. You should be fine and there has to be more names you like out of the hundreds of names out there.

I don't think that it would be an issue either. One of my cousins also has the same first and middle name as I. I would go ahead and re use the names.

Use the name go ahead, My dad was named Kenneth and he had a cousin born around the same time named Kenneth. I dosen't matter if you love the name go for it.

Yep, I know what you mean! Between my family and my husband's family, and step-families, and close friends, we don't have any names to choose from because all the ones we like have been used. We have a boy's name right now in mind, and we don't even mention it to ANYONE we know and it's not a common name so I'm hoping no one else will think of it. And the girl's name we're using no matter who else uses it because it is after my sister. A friend (but not close friend) told me the other day they were using this name for their little girl's middle name and I just told her that is the name we're also using if we have a girl (didn't want her thinking we used it from them) and there are 2 other girls with this name at church, but we'll still use it anyway. So if it's a name that you really like, don't settle for something less just because someone else you know already has that name. Name your child what you like and don't worry what others think; unless it is a very close relative, like I wouldn't name my child what my brother and his wife named their children, but if it's someone you don't see much, I would use it if I had my heart set on it.
