Adult name change
By MusicJunkie82 3 Years, 9 Months Ago
I'm on the tail end of a divorce and considering changing my whole name instead of just my last name. I've hated my first and middle names since I can remember, but I wonder if people will accept the change 26 years after I was given my birth name. Does the change seem corny or legitimate?
I was thinking about Vanessa Rose.
Any thoughts?

My brother in law changed his name after college when he went into the professional world. He also shortened our last name. It hurt my in laws but after 15 years they are ok with it. Do what is in your heart.

Do it now, it will cost you less and hey, you are the one that has to live with it, so you may a well like it. I know others that have done it. Vanessa Rose is a lovely name.

Have you talked to your parents about changing your name since they are the ones that gave it to you? It could cause some hard feelings. Just a thought.
