I dont know what this means for whenever im ready to start a family some nurses told me i can only have 2 children others said i have a high chance of miscarrying, ive already had one miscarrage and i recently had a positive test but turned out to be a false alarm as i came on my period 2 days later.
Does anyone have any information about what having this blood group means? Im worrying about it.

I don't know what makes them think you can only have two children. That doesn't sound right. Basically, if the babies blood mixes with your's in utero (which is common) it can cause you to form antibodies which attack the babies blood as if you were allergic to it. This can result in damage to the baby or miscarriage. There is an injection a doctor can give you during the pregnancy (probably more than once) to keep this from happening and then again after the baby is born.

It just means that you're Rh negative and if the father of your children happens to be Rh positive you will have to have an Rhogam injection at 28 weeks pregant and another within 72 hours of giving birth. If your blood and the babys blood cross during pregnancy or labor it can cause antibodies to attack the positive blood. That's why the injections are given. These days it's really not a big deal as long as you're seeing an Obgyn while pregnant and get your injections. This is one of the reasons they take so many blood tests during pregnancy. I'm Rh negative also and have to have the injections and why those nurses told you that you could only have two kids is beyond me unless they were talking about something different.

I am A neg. blood type. I did not have any injections during my pregnancys. It was done when the children were born and they discovered they were positive. It was only then I had to have a Rhogan shot. All 4 of my kids are positive so I had 4 shots.
Things have changed over the years, but when I was preggers they did not check a babys blood type during pregnancy. Sounds odd.
Anyway, when you need medical advice you will get many different opinions on here, so always ask your Doctor. But in the meantime do not let it scare you.

I have B neg blood. I hade injections at 28 weeks and 36 weeks, it affects your second child if you dont do anything about it it just means that there is a high chance your baby will have positive blood, so your body will treat your baby as a foreign body and try to reject the baby..

If you have the injections, called anti-D you will be fine
