Find out the gender sooner or later?? By Hattie6 9 Months, 1 Week Ago So I'm coming up to when I can find out the gender. My due date is Feb. 10 and my doctor told me I can find out the gender at my 16 week appointment which will be next Friday.
My husband has already told me, we will find out the gender which I'm ok with because I'm so wanting to do up the nursery according to the gender which will be shared with 2 of the baby's older siblings, Addie and Charlotte (Zoey.. People are starting to call her Charlotte now instead of Zoey.. Poor child, she's going to be so confused!) ANYWAY I'm afraid the gender will get mixed up again! Last time I was told and the doctor swore it was a boy then not to long before I had my baby I found out she was a girl by a different doctor. We will find out, even though I don't want too but I still have tons of boys things from my last pregnancy which if the baby is a girl, I'll give to my SIL since she just had a boy. I already gave her the bedding but I'm talking clothes and all other boy things we bought.

Re:Find out the gender sooner or later?? By Celianne 9 Months, 1 Week Ago So as not to have the same issue as last time, even after you find out the gender, use more neutral colors like yellow and green and orange. You can do it keeping the gender in mind, but not going and buying JUST pink or JUST blue will make it easier if it turns out to be a mistake. Also, get a minimum to start with, so if you do end up having the opposite, you haven't spent money on things you didn't need yet that were the wrong color. Keep receipts and leave tags on even after you set up.
Just curious, why is she going from Zoey to Charlotte?

Re:Find out the gender sooner or later?? By ReenaC 9 Months, 1 Week Ago I would say wait a little later to find out. It is more accurate. I do like Ce's idea though.
Another would be to paint the nursery a neutral color, beige, gray, white, brown, etc, keep the furniture a neutral, black, white, wood, or metal, and after the baby is born hit up the accents. Imagine a chocolate brown room, bright white trim, crib, changing table, and rocker/glider, and nice pink curtains, linens, and pillows(on seating, not in crib). Maybe a nice pink wallie that says "Thank heaven for little girls" or something like that. Or Same room, same color walls, trim, crib, table, and rocker/glider. White curtains with blue ribbon stiching along the bottom (could be done last minute). Blue accent pillows, blue and white vertical stripe curtains, and white and blue stripe linens. Maybe the baby's name on the wall. Another option is the gender neutral theme. Clouds, A "family" tree, stars, and Noah's Ark would all that work for both sexes. There are so many ideas for gender neutral nurseries. Just do an image search and and you will get thousands of possibilities.

Re:Find out the gender sooner or later?? By Hattie6 9 Months, 1 Week Ago Celianne- her first name is Charlotte and one of her middle names is Zoey and I don't know why everyone was calling her Zoey to begin with. We wanted charlotte for her first year but that didn't happen, which was fine.. but my bestfriend likes to call her Princess Charl or Miss Charlie Charlotte and in the past 2 weeks or so people have just been calling her Charlotte instead.. my family likes to change nicknames all the time. Weird people
ReenaC- this baby will be sharing a room with 2 of its sisters and Addie wants a lilac (the colour not flower) so for her I don't want to make it completely gender neutral.. we are in a small living space right now and will be here till May of next year.. I want to incorporate girl some way for the girls but I don't want it too girly in case this baby is a boy.. kwim?

Re:Find out the gender sooner or later?? By ReenaC 9 Months, 1 Week Ago I would then go for a neutral color and decorate each kids area to suit their taste. You could tie it all together by stitching a mini quilt of colors that match each kids area and framing it for the wall.

By Nellieag 9 Months, 1 Week Ago You can just ask your sonogram tech to double check or have your actually doctor do the sonogram. I always pester the tech with with a lot of questions. I just repeatedly ask if the baby's legs are situated correctly and if they can really tell.
Or you can do this. My friend just ordered this and it was accurate. http://www.tellmepinkorblue.com/ On another note I have a daughter named Charlotte and she refuses to be called Charlotte, it's Charlie only. I think because it is such a classic name a lot of people aren't seasoned to it.
