Wondering.
By Ellyy 4 Months, 1 Week Ago
Hey girls just wanted to see if you could help me with something, basically my tutor at college is pregnant and I don't know how many weeks but I do know the due date which is 19th February, I just want to know what could go wrong with it or how early she could go into labour. I also found out today she went on maternity leave but she didn't plan to go as soon as she did so that's why I'm asking. Thanks in advance.

There area whole host of things that could go wrong. Her baby is actually really close full term and she could deliver today without any major worries about preemie. In 13 days, the baby wont even be considered premature.
My guess if she left early she may have had some premature labor, maybe some pregnancy induced high blood pressure, or maybe she has just reached a point where she isn't very comfortable and wants to rest.

She would be 35 weeks, 1 day along today. Full term is 37 weeks, but she could possibly go into labor at any time now. As for things that could go wrong there's pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, fetal distress, low amniotic fluid, and I'm sure a hundred other things that could cause problems at this stage in the game. I don't know her or her history, though, so I can't tell you if any of those things are likely to happen. Chances are that there are no problems and if so they're minor.
I agree with what Reena said for reasons she may have left already. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
