Update:)
By Mandi86 11 Months, 1 Week Ago
I haven't updated since we found out the baby is a girl (about 14weeks ago) so I figured it was time I made another update I'll do an update on my oldest also.

Baby girl and I: I'm 34 weeks 3 days today. We had a 3d ultrasound 2 weeks ago and got to see her face! She looks a little like her older brother but mostly she's a mixture of her daddy and I My pregnancy this time has been a lot harder on my body. I have psd and some days I can hardly walk without being in tremendous pain. Also, she's sitting up in my ribs an dthat makes it hard to breathe most of the time. I've been to the hospital twice in the past week with preterm labor, but thankfully they were able to get it stopped. I'm 2 cm and 50% effaced. Which I know doesn't mean much unless you are in active labor, but when you have signs of preterm labor they start checking you a lot earlier than they normally would. Baby girl seems to be the picture of health as far as they can tell so we are soooo thankful for that. I started measuring big about 6weeks ago so they are keeping a check on her size to make sure she doesn't get too large. As of 2 weeks ago she was estimated to be 5lbs 9oz, which they said is abouta pound and a half larger than what's typical for her gestational age. The same thing happened at this point in my first pregnancy and I ended up with a c-section because at 9 lb 9 oz he couldn't fit through my hips. I'm really hoping I don't end up with another c-section, but there's a good possibility of it if she keeps growing at the rate she is now. Oh, and her name will be Lydia Katherine.

My son, Judah, is 19 months old right now. He's saying a lot of words and starting to put some simple phrases together like "get this ball". He has 10 teeth currently. He didn't get his first tooth until he was 12 months so I don't know whats a "normal" amount of teeth for a 19 month old. He nursed until 15 months. We're trying to get him to give up his pacifier but tthat's proving to be a battle. He trasitioned to a toddler bed a few weeks ago and that's going way better than I thought it would. He loves it and will sleep in it all night as long as we put him in it when he's really drowsy. He goes to bed with us first and we read a story, say bedtime prayers and sing a couple of soft slow songs until he's almost asleep then we tuck him into his toddler bed and he goes to sleep. He's just an all around healthy, happy little boy He's had a few "episodes" but no real temper tantrums YET.

Oh, it's good to hear from you!

Wow, he really didn't get his first tooth til 12 months?! The official average is around 8 months, I think. Plenty at 6 mon, very few at 4 mon. He'll be fine, though!

Hopefully everything goes well with your labor and delivery and it will be at the right time. It sounds like you're anxious to deliver her and enjoy her, though, and be out of the pain. Hang in there---this will be but a happy memory soon!

Hi!
My little cousin was never a paci type but she did love her bottle! And had it up until a few months shy of 2, she continually lost or bit the nipple's off of her bottle so once the last one was in the trash that was it. Not sure that helps but maybe slowly get rid of the paci's and leave him with one? It took her a good day or two before she was fully over it but she will be a big sister in a couple months so we'll see if she goes retract's back into that.

I hope lil Lydia stays in there for a bit longer, and doesn't grow too much so you can have your preferred birth! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly!

Congrats on your growing family. Sounds like your little boy is doing very well. I like the name you have chosen for your daughter. Very nice. Good luck to you and yours!
