Migraines during pregnancy?
By Valentine 3 Years, 9 Months Ago
I was in the car today (not driving thankfully) when all of a sudden I had a blurry spot in my vision. It was so odd, I couldn't read parts of the license plates in front of me. All of a sudden I got really nauseous. Blurry spot went away after about half an hour and headache was mild. I have had migraine twice before and figured that was all it was but then reading on the internet, blurred vision can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I am 34 weeks along.

I've had horrible migraines, and blurred vision during the migraines since I was almost 4 months along. I talked to my dr and was told that migraines occur during pregnancy and sometimes they get worse as it progresses.

He also told me that the type of headache usually associated with pre-eclampsia is that it will feel like you got hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat. Also, check yourself for any excess swelling, have your legs, hands or face suddenly gotten more swollen?
If they have I would definately recommend a visit to your dr.

If the migraine was short though and isn't recurring then you could probably just give them a call or mention it on your next visit. That's just what my dr told me about pre-eclampsia because he was worried since I was having such bad headaches.

If you are really worried about it, give them a call anyways because it is always better to error on the side of caution. And it always give you a piece of mind.
