How did you find out that you were pregnant for the first time? What was your first reaction like? I found out over the phone (doctor's office) and broke a bunch of glasses by accident (while doing dishes in the kitchen) lol Its such an exciting thing!!

I was very sick for a while and I thought it was a bad flu or something. I never went to the doctors and my hubby and I (well bf at the time) thought I was prego but pushed it to the side and said if we are then so be it.... Eventually I was so dehydrated and so so skinny and ill that I had to go to the emergency room and they said they found out what it was... It was a UTI and I was relieved.. Then the doctor came back and said ok one other thing we found out that's wrong with you....YOUR PREGNANT... OMG..... A little siprised although I thought I might have been....we were excited....good luck...Tabitha

My sister-in-law was pregnant with my niece and alot of the talk at my grandma's for Christmas was about that. That was on Christmas Eve. My hubby and I had only been married for 2 months. My sister-in-law turned to me and asked when we were going to start trying for a baby. I gave her a funny look and she caught on that we might be. She told me to go buy a test and find out. Every place around us was closed until after Christmas. So the day after Christmas we went and bought a test and sure enough, I was pregnant. I was so excited that when I showed my hubby the test and referred him to the paper that came with it to show him what the positive reading was supposed to be, I referred him to the spanish language section. Oops! We were both overjoyed. My sister-in-law was elated. And she was even more excited when she found out that she was the first one we called to tell. She was like, "you mean I know before your mom knows?" She was nice and didn't spill the beans. We went and told our parents in person.

My husband and I had been trying for 5 months and nothing ever happened. We eventually stopped trying and said that we would start trying when we felt like the time was right. We kinda got discouraged and worried that there was something wrong with one of us. Well we started trying in August '08 and at the end of August I was due to start my period and I had started cramping and was awaiting Aunt Flow to come....but it never did. My boobs were so sore and I was always tired. So my husband and I decided that I should go ahead and take a test - what could it hurt, you know? Well I took the test and it was positive. Of course I was sitting on the toilet and I fell off of it onto the floor and started crying! I was so happy. My husband was in disbelief so I got out the directions and made sure he knew that it was positive. He was very happy too! It's one of the best moments of our lives and we'll never forget it!
