I am 20 years old and I have been married about a year and a half, been together about 2 and a half. I want to start a family but I don't think my husband is ready. He is 25. Any thoughts or advice?

I suggest that you let time take its course...if you push the matter with him it might scare him even longer...dont worry he will be ready so enough...good luck

We made a list of all the things we wanted in place before starting a family. Included were: a house, two newer cars, a cruise, well established jobs (for healthcare reasons), etc. We had our fourth anniversary just after our first was born. We were 28. We were also seeing our friends starting families about the same time and wanted our kids to grow up together. Maybe your husband "isn't ready" because he's worried about supporting a family or still has some things he wants to do "child free".

The only thing I am afraid of is that cervical and uterine cancer run in the family almost all the girls have got it in their 20s and the doc told me I have to be careful because they found stuff that is the beginning signs of it. I don't want to lose my chance to have my babies.
