Girl names
By Jasper1976 6 Months Ago
Hi everyone. I am expecting a baby girl in Feb next year, my hubbie and I just cant decide/agree on names and my friends all have different styles. We have two children Bethany Rose and Alexander James (Alex). I would like to have Alice or Alison as a middle name but as our surname is Brewer we are finding not all names suit this surname or go with our other children. Any suggestions would be great. So far we have Rose / Rosalie / Evie / Holly / Maisie. Hubbie wishes to stick with traditional names if possible. Thanks

Hey, I'm also due in February! We decided not to find out what we're having though. It's getting close now, just after the holidays basically. So excited!

Anywho, I think Holly Alison would be a sweet combo and Maisie Alice or Maisie Alison works too. I wouldn't use Rose or Rosalie since your daughter's middle name is Rose and Evie is too nicknamey for my tastes. I'd rather stick to Eve, Eva, Evelyn, Evangeline, etc. with Evie as a nickname. Evangeline Alice Brewer wouldn't be too bad.

Other suggestions-
Ruby
Charlotte
Lucy
Lucille
Lucette/Lucetta
Mary/Maria
Isabel
Sara(h)

Hope this helped.

Holly Alison is the best combo, I suppose. Is Maisie pronounced like Macy with an S sound or like "MAIZE ee" with a Z sound? I like the sound of "Macy", but not so much the other pronunciation because it reminds me of corn (I love to eat corn, though!). Also, if it's like "Macy Alison", it makes me think of Cialis (the last syllable of Macy going into the first two syllables of Alison). Sorry to be so specific, but that's just me.

Congratulations, by the way, and Happy Naming!

Thats helped lots. Another two names on the list is Madeleine or Mattia as in Muh-tee-ia. Yes it was Maisie as in Maze-zee, Macey comes from Matthew.
