I am expecting baby #2. Do you think it is appropriate to do a birth announcements for the 2nd baby? I did photo cards for our daughter when she was born and want to have an announcement for this baby too. Most of my friends only have one kiddo so I haven't gotten multiple birth announcements from them. I think photo announcements are a great way to send extended family and friends a picture of the new baby since most won't see her right away.

It is most definitely appropriate to do birth announcements for each individual child. I would think it might be kind of strange not to do announcements for your second (or third or fourth, etc.) if you did them for your first. Maybe that's just me.... Anywho, I agree with you that it's a great way to "introduce" your baby to friends and family that won't have a chance to meet him/her for a while.

In my opinion, it would be inappropriate NOT to do a birth announcement for a second baby if you did it for the first one. I think every baby is announcement-worthy, regardless of birth order. Congratulations on baby # 2!!

First you need to realize that not all births were published in newspapers. Then check the paper in the town where the person was born and it may list births by hospital. There is no separate listing that I am aware of or Index so you will have to research every edition of that paper published in 1990.
