Lullaby By vburgfirewife 3 Years, 8 Months Ago What were/are your favorite lullabies to sing to your baby?
I remember a lullaby that my grandma always sang to my cousin and I asked her to teach it to me. I sang this to both of my girls. When my niece was born (August 07), I taught this lullaby to my mom and sister-in-law. Any 2 syllable name can replace the word baby in the lullaby to personalize it for your child. Baby's boats a silver moon sailing in the sky. Sailing ore the sea of sleep while the stars go by. Sail baby sail, out across the sea. Only don't forget to sail back again to me. Baby's fishing for a dream. Fishing near and far. His/Her line's a silver moonbeam and his/her bait's a shining star. Sail baby sail, out across the sea. Only don't forget to sail back again to me. It is a beautiful lullaby and my girls are learning it now. They got real interested in learning it when we started singing it to Layla last year. I am sure this one will end up being passed down for many generations.

Re:Lullaby By KitKat 3 Years, 8 Months Ago We used to sing my little brother:
Brahms lullaby - but I remember only this: Lullaby, and sleep tight. Hush! My darling is sleeping, On his sheets white as cream, With his head full of dreams. When the sky's bright with dawn, He will wake in the morning. When noontide warms the world, He will frolic in the sun. I love its melody and its so sweet! And also Twinkle Twinkle little star and later (even today): A dream is a wish your heart makes When you're fast asleep In dreams you lose your heartaches Whatever you wish for, you keep Have faith in your dreams and someday Your rainbow will come smiling through No matter how your heart is grieving If you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true. Good luck!

Re:Lullaby By MorgannsMommy 3 Years, 8 Months Ago Oh, let’s see; I made up a song with her name in it that I used to sing to her while I was teaching her sign language. I still sing it.
(Corus) Morgann Margaret, Morgann Margaret. Mommy loves you, Mommy loves you. You’re my pretty girl, you’re my pretty girl. Let’s Play more, let’s play more. (Or “sing more” or “sleep more” etc.) (Corus) You’re my smart girl, you’re my smart girl. Let’s Play more, let’s play more. (Or “sing more” or “sleep more” etc.) (Corus) You’re my happy girl, you’re my happy girl. Let’s Play more, let’s play more. (Or “sing more” or “sleep more” etc.) (Corus) You’re my big girl, you’re my big girl. Let’s Play more, let’s play more. (Or “sing more” or “sleep more” etc.)

Re:Lullaby By Epilogue 3 Years, 8 Months Ago It's not technically a baby lullaby, but there is a song from my favourite band that I having been singing to our daughter since she was born. It's kind of a sad song, but really mellow and nice-sounding. Aeris loves it and tries to sing along with me now.
It goes: Out on the road there are fireflies circling Deep in the woods, where the lost souls hide Over the hill there are men returning Trying to find some peace of mind Sleep my child Under the fog there are shadows moving Don't be afraid, hold my hand Into the dark there are eyelids closing Buried alive in the shifting sands Sleep my child Speak to me now and the world will crumble Open a door and the moon will fall All of your life, all your memories Go to your dreams, forget it all Sleep my child
