Hi! I am not new to the site, but I am DEFINETLY new to this section. On November 8, I gave birth to my beautiful twin girls, Harlow Jaden and Holland Emma. They are both in the NICU and will hopefully get out soon. I am kinda worried about Harlow. She is having a lot of trouble breathing and she is having heart problems. She is to young and to sick right now to do many tests. Holland is doing fine on the other hand for a premature twin . Any advice on what I can do to help Harlow?

hi i know how you are feeling as my twin boys are in the nicu and the younger one is having problems with infections etc atm, you cant really do much all you can do is be there and support and love them, they are strong and will be able to get through it....some days it will seem like a bit of a roller coaster with all the ups and downs but our babies are tougher than we think, if you need anything else let me know

Sorry to hear about myour little one but good to know the other is doing well. I've eard that it's good to talk to them. They become familiar with your voce nad recognise it which can be comforting to them.

Just wondering how the girls are doing hope all is well

wow.....I had a scare this past month. Harlow has IMPROVED! Thank the lord, the doctors put her on some medication to control her heart rate.(They discovered a minor, little hole in her heart but thank god it is not fatal) She is doing SO much better and I am so happy! I can't believe it! She and her sister Holland will be coming home on the...20th!!!! TOMARROW!!!! Ahhhhhhh! I am soooooo nervous but these past 2 weeks I have been with Holland and Harlow and preparing the nursery and I am so excited! I can't believe they will be home for the Holidays and I am ecstatic! My home in Connecticut is snow covered and it is cold here but I have little hats and blankets and everything ALL ready for my little babies.

By the way on January 8th, 2009, they will be 2 months old. It was a sad Thanksgiving and scary Thanksgiving. But my dad is coming over for Christmas and he will be staying with me and helping for a while.

Tomorrow, the twins are going to be part of their first Christmas by decorating our Christmas tree. This is also a very bitter sweet moment for my dad and I. My mom is no longer with my family (she died from heart disease when I was 8) she died on December 22, 1994.
